Scottish Development International Release: World-Renowned Scientists Showcase Research Findings And Explore Collaborative Opportunities At Scientific Conference

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 4, 2005-- Transatlantic Partnerships in Scientific Research and Discovery Tops Agenda Scottish Development International (SDI), the main economic development agency for the Scottish Executive, today hosted a major international life sciences conference that featured leading authorities in the Scottish and American scientific communities. The conference included discussions on advances in clinical research and the importance of developing links between the Scottish academic research community and U.S. life sciences companies. The conference was held at the hotel Marlowe in Cambridge, MA. Dr. David Lemberg, executive producer and host of Internet talk show Science and Society, moderated the conference, which was one in a series of events being held in Boston and New York during the celebration of Tartan Week - a festival recognizing Scottish achievement.
