ReBuilder Medical Technologies, Inc. Reaches $1.5 Million in Sales

Viral Market Tipping Point?

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va., Sept. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ReBuilder Medical Technologies, Inc. -- “It took us almost 4 years to reach $1 million in sales, and in 2007 alone, we have crossed the 1.5 million mark,” says Daena Carter, Director of Accounting of ReBuilder Medical Technologies, Inc. “These figures exceeded our 2006 target by 15% due to the infusion of international sales. Sales from foreign countries have increased by 15% in 2007. As a result we are actively seeking distributors and international representation for our products,” states Ms. Carter. The International Diabetes Federation estimates that over 230 million people worldwide now live with diabetes. Neuropathy is known to affect more than 30% of all diabetes sufferers.

ReBuilder Medical Technologies, Inc., until recently has relied on Internet sales alone, and this year as a result of customer referrals, both consumer sales and professional sales have increased. The company cites its own internal study of customer’s comments when they order to determine that a new stage has been set for sales: viral marketing. Viral marketing occurs when a “tipping point” occurs or when a particular number of users who are telling others about a product reach a critical mass and take on a life of its own. It was this “tipping Point’ that caused the increase in public awareness of YouTube.com and MySpace.com for example.

YouTube.com recently was bought by the search engine company Google for $1.6 billion and MySpace.com was bought by NewsCorp for over $500 million.

“Word of mouth traffic has increased significantly over the last year. By tracking our web site visits we see that over 40% of our web traffic is now coming from other sources rather than the search engines and our pay per click advertising programs. This demonstrates a ‘viral’ or ‘highly contagious’ marketing effect. As our sales numbers increase this year I expect to see that trend continue or even accelerate. ReBuilder Medical converts almost 4% of our Internet traffic to sales. As our traffic increases, our sales increase proportionally,” says David B. Phillips, President and CEO.

“This year we are expanding beyond the Internet market to reach out to customers via late night infomercials and to the doctors for what is called ‘trusted advisor’ sales,” says Dr. Phillips. “Doctors are beginning to understand fully how the ReBuilder works to rebuild nerve integrity and to strengthen atrophied leg muscles.” Phillips further states, “Over the past three years we have continued to reach our sales targets. This is due in part to the increase in information about neuropathy and our effective marketing effort.”

The ReBuilder(R) is an electronic device that restores nerve function, increases blood flow, cancels pain, and reduces numbness and tingling that sells for $399-$699 retail and is available over the counter on the Internet.
