Prometheus Research Joins OMNITEC Team on $20 Billion Government-Wide Acquisition Contract

NEW HAVEN, Conn., Oct. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Prometheus Research, LLC announced today that it has been selected to the OMNITEC team awarded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for the agency’s Chief Information Officers Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). Valued at up to $20 billion, the 10-year contract is administered by NIH’s Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC). CIO-SP3 enables government agencies to acquire IT solutions and services faster and more easily, while also satisfying budgetary constraints.

As a premier provider of integrated data management services for behavioral and biomedical research, Prometheus already serves some of the most ambitious research endeavors in the world including the Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI), Autism Speaks, the Marcus Autism Center, and the Yale University Child Study Center. Prometheus was the first organization to successfully submit data to the NIH’s National Database for Autism Research (NDAR) and the only organization to develop a cost-effective service that streamlines the NDAR submission process for researchers.

Under the CIO-SP3 contract, Prometheus assumes individual task orders for IT services and solutions to federal agencies. Services awarded through the CIO-SP3 address 10 key task areas including IT services for biomedical research and health care, CIO support, data repository integration, biorepository development, critical infrastructure protection, enterprise management, business intelligence, data integration, and software development.

“We at Prometheus Research are honored to be part of the impressive OMNITEC CIO-SP3 team,” said Prometheus Research CEO, Dr. Leon Rozenblit. “This is a significant opportunity for our organization to partner with federal agencies that want to get more value from their data.”
