HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Positron Corporation (OTC BB:POSC). Positron Corporation’s Board of Directors has appointed Michael E. Merhige, M.D. as their Medical Director. Dr. Merhige will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and has designated his practice as a signature show site for Positron software developers and customers. Dr. Merhige has performed and interpreted over 25,000 cardiac PET scans, and has been involved in cardiac PET for 22 years. He is currently Director of the Heart Center of Niagara, which specializes in the noninvasive management of coronary disease guided by PET myocardial perfusion imaging. He has authored numerous publications in the field of cardiac molecular imaging, and is an acknowledged expert in the field.
