PHT Corporation Total Bookings Increase by 68% in 4th Fiscal Quarter as Overall eClinical Industry Adoption Accelerates

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - March 10, 2009) - PHT Corporation is celebrating its most successful fourth fiscal quarter and year since the company’s founding in 1994. PHT is the global leader in ePRO solutions, with products and services used in more than 390 clinical trials involving hundreds of thousands patients worldwide.

Total new business bookings for fiscal Q4 increased by 68% over the previous year representing the strongest Q4 financial results in the company’s history. In the fourth quarter, the company closed 11 major new studies from six existing clients and one new account.

Phil Lee, PHT President and CEO, said, “We are pleased that in 2008 so many of our existing clients decided to entrust PHT with more of their ePRO studies. Despite the difficult global economic environment, we anticipate a strong 2009 as current clients and new sponsors turn to PHT to conduct the safest, most efficient and economical clinical trials possible.”

2008 represented the 6th consecutive year of revenue growth for PHT as the company continues to focus on effectively scaling operations and delivering the highest value ePRO solutions to its customers. As sponsors are pressed to show greater returns for each dollar invested in R&D, eClinical solutions like PHT’s LogPad Product Suite help by reducing unnecessary costs associated with error prone and time consuming paper diaries. ePRO provides faster time to analysis from database lock, adaptive trial capabilities, real-time safety monitoring between visits and less data variance for smaller, faster clinical trials that are less expensive to run. Like other eClinical technologies, ePRO is rapidly becoming an important part of an overall clinical operations efficiency strategy.

Key 2008 business highlights for PHT:
