McLean, Ph.D. to Chief Executive Officer. Mr. McLean served as COO of RxHub since January 7, 2003. With 30 years of pharmacy and health care experience, he is uniquely positioned to take the organization’s reins from predecessor Jim Bradley.

As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. McLean’s primary responsibility will be to continue increasing overall adoption of RxHub’s products, designed to provide doctors and pharmacists with all of the information necessary to write complete informed prescriptions at the point of care. Mr. McLean will be responsible for leadership and strategic direction of RxHub with an ongoing focus on operations and customer satisfaction.

Prior to joining RxHub, Mr. McLean served as the Chief Executive Officer of United Resource Networks (U.R.N.) for UnitedHealth Group in Minneapolis, MN, which provides organ and tissue transplantation services to over 40 million individuals.
Mr. McLean held various positions at UnitedHealth Group during his tenure from 1992 through 2002 including CEO of Care Management Services and Vice President, Business Development, Specialty Division. Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group in 1992, Mr. McLean was President of Clinical Pharmaceuticals, a pharmacy benefit management company. Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President, Corporate Development with American MedCenter and its predecessor organization in Minneapolis for 12 years.
Mr. McLean holds a B.S. in Pharmacy from Ohio State University and a Ph.D. in Pharmacy Administration from the University of Minnesota.
RxHub was founded on February 22, 2001 by the three largest PBMs at the time -- Advance PCS, Express Scripts and Medco Health Solutions. Earlier this year, Caremark Rx purchased Advance PCS, taking its seat on the RxHub board.
