March 15, 2006 – A Phase I trial, being conducted in London among healthy subjects, has caused violent reactions among the six people given the drug, putting two of them into critical condition. The test was being conducted by Parexel for TeGenero of Germany. It involved a drug designated as TGN 1412 that targets inflammation and leukemia. But the drug has caused all six recipients to swell. While two people are on the critical list, the other four participants were listed as being in serious condition, though their symptoms seem to be improving. More details...
