MONTREAL, July 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - ORTHOsoft Inc. an international company that develops and markets medical software, instruments and computer systems to increase the accuracy of knee, hip and spine surgery, today announced that it has added 6 new orthopaedic company distributors as partners over the past several months in regional markets, in Europe and the United States.
The new distributors are mainly small to mid-size orthopaedic companies who have purchased a number of ORTHOsoft systems totaling approximately $1 million. The systems are equipped with ORTHOsoft’s new state of the art software that guides or navigates the distributors’ specialized knee and hip implants. The new distributors have made strategic commitments to using computer assisted surgery to enhance their services to surgeons and hospitals in their regional markets. They will market the ORTHOsoft systems direct to hospitals along with their implants, and exhibit the systems at international conferences. ORTHOsoft now has 9 orthopaedic implant manufacturer and distributor partners in Europe and United States who market ORTHOsoft computer systems including world leaders Zimmer, Smith & Nephew and Medtronic.
