ALISO VIEJO, CA--(Marketwired - October 07, 2014) - Medical device and life science industry professionals will gather October 21-22, 2014 for OCTANe’s Medical Device & Investor Forum (MDIF), the annual signature event that highlights the status of the medical device industry along with current and future investment trends. California gubernatorial candidate Neel Kashkari will be discussing the importance of life science and medical industry growth within the state, while Warren Moon, former NFL quarterback and member of the Hall of Fame, will address those in attendance concerning the medical advancements specific to the sports industry.
Keynote sessions will continue throughout the conference featuring medical industry leaders, along with investment and financial professionals, to help provide perspective on the growing impact that life science and medical device companies will have on the future. Topics include medical device and pharmaceutical consolidations, how to make clinical trials more impactful, healthcare in 2050, as well as discussions with current hospital CEOs and administrators.
Companies who are changing the medical device industry will also be presenting on their innovative products, which will highlight market opportunities, innovative solutions, creative business models and world-class operating teams. These presentations are from companies participating in OCTANe’s LaunchPad SBDC program, and are always a main highlight of the conference.
“The medical device and life science industries are evolving at an extremely rapid pace,” said Matthew Jenusaitis, president and CEO of OCTANe. “With so many companies that are leading the way in research and development right here in California, and Orange County specifically, this conference is an important event as it focuses on the trends that will change the medical device and life science industries in the future.”
In addition to major keynotes from industry leaders, MDIF will also host panel discussions and an investor “speed dating” session, where companies will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to potential investors. The two-day event will be held at the Hotel Irvine at 17900 Jamboree Road in Irvine, CA. The conference kicks off at 10 a.m. PDT on Tuesday, October 21, 2014.
