New Deadline Set For Revlon To Respond To Questions Over Toxins In Make-Up

NEW YORK, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Activists concerned about women’s health gave Revlon until November 8th to clear up confusion about whether personal care products its sells in the U.S. comply with E.U. regulations.

Activists want Revlon to clear up the following issues: * Do Revlon cosmetic products contain phthalates or any substances banned under the EU directive? * Has Revlon tested its products for the presence of phthalates and will it share those test results? * Will Revlon pledge that it will not sell any products in the United States that contain substances banned under the EU directives?

An action scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 21 outside Revlon’s headquarters has been postponed to give Revlon the opportunity to respond to questions over the use of phthalates banned in Europe.
