The city’s newest tech incubator -- this one for the biotech industry -- will be located inside the Merchandise Mart and launch with the help of $4 million in state taxpayer assistance, Gov. Pat Quinn announced Thursday. Matter, the not-for-profit biotech hub, will lack lab space but “will be a hub for workshops and mentoring, as well as a meeting place for universities to connect with companies,” The Tribune reported last year.
