Women with a history of miscarriage before they developed rheumatoid arthritis seem to be at increased risk for progressive joint disease, according to a new report. Once a person is diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, “it would be helpful to predict the amount of joint destruction over time and to establish whether that patient will need more aggressive treatment,” Dr. Frederique M. van Dunne told Reuters Health.
