MedPro Imaging Expands Operations With Opening of Dedicated Advanced Transducer Repair Facility

WAUKESHA, Wis., April 21, 2011/PRNewswire/ -- MedPro Imaging, a premium provider of new and refurbished ultrasound solutions, today announced the expansion of its operations with the opening of its dedicated state-of-the-art ultrasound transducer repair facility in Longmont, Colo. The 5,000-square foot facility features proprietary repair technology not previously available in the U.S. market, offering high quality computer-based transducer repair services designed to counter a growing emphasis in the industry on probe exchange programs.

The company also announced the recent appointments of Aaron Osgood as Director of Global Distribution and Dave Dallaire as Director, Western Regional Sales.

In addition to providing high quality transducer repair services at the Company’s existing Waukesha repair facility, the Longmont facility will also manufacturer MPI ProbeLab, turn-key ultrasound transducer repair packages featuring state-of-the-art computer-based technology designed to enable major hospitals and networks to perform probe repairs in-house. The scalable ProbeLab packages will include state-of-the-art computer-based probe repair devices and processes for fast, consistent repairs.

Joining as Director of Global Distribution, Osgood’s primary responsibilities will be to expand MedPro’s current distribution globally, increase the Company’s transducer repair presence in key markets and to manage Dealer channels with OEM Partners. Prior to MedPro, Osgood spent 10 years at Ambassador Medical, Inc., subsidiary of GE Healthcare, one of the world’s largest providers of refurbished ultrasound systems and parts. Serving as sales team leader and marketing director, Osgood was responsible for more than $56 million in global sales of systems, parts and service, and led an international growth initiative. He received his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.

Dallaire joins MedPro as Director, Western Regional Sales from Unisyn, where he was the Director of Corporate Accounts with responsibility for all strategic accounts and partnerships. Dallaire developed and managed Unisyn’s Inside Sales, Customer Service, and Sourcing teams. Previously, he was National Sales Manager with Sonora Medical Systems. At Sonora, he was a consistent top performer with such notable achievements as increasing sales in his territory by over 350% in his first two years. Dallaire began his professional career as a software engineer having developed several medical devices currently on the market.

“MedPro entered the transducer repair category with a repair-first business model and selected Longmont, Colorado for this state-of-the-art repair facility based on the availability of extremely skilled personnel to support the goal of providing consistent repair services designed to help customers reduce their ultrasound lifecycle costs by keeping their own probes in service. From solder technicians to engineers and other high tech expertise, Longmont has a great deal of people with the specific skill sets for which we were looking for,” said Charles Jahnke, president and CEO of MedPro Imaging. “As we expand our service offerings and transducer repair operations, we are pleased to have two ultrasound industry veterans join to help MedPro offer the best ultrasound system and service solutions in the industry.”
