MUNDELEIN, IL--(Marketwire - April 19, 2011) - Medline Industries, Inc., the nation’s largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of healthcare supplies, announced today the signing of a five-year prime vendor agreement for distribution services with Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA), one of the country’s largest providers of specialty surgical services.
SCA operates a national network of 125 ambulatory surgical centers and surgical hospitals. Medline is expected to generate $250 million in medical and surgical product sales from the partnership over the term of the agreement.

Medline will provide full distribution services to SCA’s facilities and drive cost savings through operational efficiencies and cost reductions throughout the distribution channel and from Medline brand product purchases. Medline will distribute products directly to SCA facilities from Medline’s 32 distribution centers located throughout the country.
