CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Independent medical device regulatory consulting firm Qserve Group announced today that it has opened a new U.S. headquarters office for Qserve America, Inc. at the Cambridge Innovation Center in Cambridge, Mass.
The Qserve team, with the help of Launch in U.S. Alliance, selected Cambridge for its proximity to leading life sciences companies and its large base of skilled employees. The firm is already actively recruiting senior-level regulatory professionals for its Cambridge location.
The Amsterdam-based firm serves start-up, mid-size and large corporations with products focused in medical devices and device combination products. Qserve aims to accelerate time-to-market for clients’ medical devices in the U.S., Europe Asia and elsewhere. The firm has been active in the U.S. market since 2005; clients include J&J, Bayer and Philips Medical Systems.
The announcement comes as the state kicks off the 2012 AdvaMed Convention, being held October 1-3 at the Massachusetts Convention & Exhibition Center. The Convention provides state and industry leaders an opportunity to showcase Massachusetts as a great place to do business for international life sciences companies.
“So much life sciences innovation is coming out of the Massachusetts area,” said Willibrord Driessen, President & CEO of Qserve Group. “As we looked to expand our U.S. business, it was the natural choice for a location for our new U.S. headquarters.”
“Qserve is a welcome addition to the Massachusetts life sciences community,” said Susan Windham- Bannister, Ph.D., President & CEO of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center, the agency charged with implementing Governor Patrick’s 10-year, $1 billion Life Sciences Initiative. “Their presence here will contribute to our economy and strengthen our state’s global leadership in the life sciences. I am confident that Qserve will find that Massachusetts has a welcoming life sciences community that is committed to supporting the company’s growth and success.”
“I join the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center in welcoming Qserve to Massachusetts,” said Ken Brown, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Office of International Trade & Investment. “Qserve will join a broad and deep ecosystem in the global hub of life sciences.”
