Somerville startup EyeNetra, which has developed inexpensive eye-testing technology leveraging smartphones, has raised $2 million in new equity funding. “We’re excited to have raised another round of funding and look forward to continued progress in bringing new access to eyeglasses around the world,” co-founder and CEO David Schafran wrote in an email. Investors in the round are not being named, he said. An SEC filing, which discloses the new funding, shows a total offering amount of $2.5 million by the company. EyeNetra had previously raised $1 million in funding, according to a filing last July.
