Along with providing expert guidance and strategic direction focused on Laureate's contract manufacturing business, Mr. Tune brings to Laureate more than 20 years of experience in P&L, strategy, operations, marketing and engineering leadership, in rapid-growth and transitional health products and service businesses. Throughout his career, he has worked in general management, sales and marketing, strategy, business development and engineering.
Mr. Tune most recently served as Vice President / General Manager, Global Drug Delivery of Baxter International where he transformed an established business, doubling revenues over five years to reach $800M+. Mr. Tune realigned the business model, products and market focus toward high value, rapidly expanding outsourcing services and technologies. He also successfully led a 14-member leadership team; 200 business development, sales and marketing, and product development professionals; over 800 employees in a dedicated facility; and effectively directed shared services production operations with 13 global manufacturing facilities. He concurrently, served on Baxter's senior management team with active involvement in cross-business communications, investor relations and industry outreach awareness. Previously, he was Vice President, Strategy & Business Development for Baxter and was responsible for in-house strategy and venture development. He orchestrated cross-divisional initiatives to create value within Baxter's largest product and distribution operations.
