KineMed, Inc. and CHDI Foundation Announce Study to Investigate Role of Brain Cholesterol Synthesis and Lipid Metabolism in Huntington’s Disease

EMERYVILLE, Calif. & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--KineMed Inc. (www.kinemed.com) and CHDI Foundation, Inc. announced today a collaboration to investigate the role of the metabolism of cholesterol and other lipids in Huntington’s disease (HD). Research leading up to this study suggests that the homeostatic processes that control the balance of cholesterol in the brain are altered in HD patients.
