Kimberly-Clark Corp. will spin off its health-care business into a $1.7 billion, publicly traded company called Halyard Health Inc. and will put its headquarters in Alpharetta, Ga. The spin-off is expected to be complete in the third or fourth quarter of 2014. The new 174,000-square-foot facility in Alpharetta will house 200 employees, including corporate officers, finance, IT, procurement, engineering and quality. Halyard has leading market positions in both surgical and infection prevention products and medical devices and employs about 16,500 people.
