Southern Cross Hospitals and Fisher and Paykel Healthcare Utilize Industry-Leading MDM Solution for Regulatory Compliance and Supply Chain Efficiency

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Innovit, a global master data management solutions provider, reaffirmed its strong presence in the healthcare industry by adding new implementations for Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, and Southern Cross Hospitals. Fisher & Paykel is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of medical device products in over 120 countries worldwide, and Southern Cross Hospitals, operates New Zealand’s largest network of private surgical hospitals.

Healthcare organizations rely on Innovit’s industry-leading MDM and PIM solutions to manage some of the most complex healthcare data challenges that companies face today.

Fisher and Paykel is conducting a two-phased implementation of Innovit’s solutions. Phase one consists of taking Fisher and Paykel’s data to create, change and validate product master data for regulatory submission to the FDA Global Unique Device Identification Database (GUDID) and publishing accurate product data to trading partners worldwide via the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN). Phase two will then implement a global PIM solution to feed internal systems like SAP to automate the material master workflow management and governance processes.

Southern Cross Hospitals, which services more than 75,000 patients a year, will leverage Innovit’s MDM system to source product and pricing data from suppliers via GDSN and spreadsheets. The system also gives the organization the ability to revalidate inbound catalog data from suppliers and convert the GDSN data into a format that can be used by internal ERP and EMR/EHR systems.

“The healthcare industry is naturally siloed, which means that organizations are starting at a significant disadvantage when trying to organize their data,” said Bang Chau, Vice President of Business Development. “Our full suite of PIM and MDM services helps healthcare businesses establish a more accurate and efficient avenue for mastering data to enhance regulatory compliance and supply chain efficiency. We are especially excited to continue expanding our healthcare practice with Southern Cross Hospitals and Fisher and Paykel.”
