Smith, among the nation’s largest pharmaceutical wholesalers, today announced the appointment of Tim Booth to executive vice president, Smith Medical Partners. Smith Medical Partners is a wholly owned subsidiary of H. D. Smith focused on specialty pharmaceutical distribution and services, and is part of the newly formed H. D. Smith Specialty Solutions group, an organization structured to provide focus and alignment around specialty and traditional brand products, solutions and services.
Booth brings to Smith Medical Partners more than 20 years of experience in leading organizational business strategy, operations, sales and profitability management. In his new role, he will oversee Smith Medical Partners’ operations, sales and company management and be responsible for achieving specific goals for the organization.

Booth most recently served as corporate vice president of H. D. Smith‘s Home Healthcare operations. He joined H. D. Smith in 2012 as corporate vice president Home Healthcare where he established strategic methods for improving the company’s home healthcare profit through vendor and customer relationships, sales leadership and distribution center coordination.

Prior to joining H. D. Smith, Booth was president of RxPak, a division of The McKesson Corporation, specializing in the financial and operational responsibilities of its pharmaceutical packaging division. His experience also includes serving as president/CEO of PrePak Holdings, a private equity-owned pharmaceutical packaging contract manufacturing and packaging company. There he was responsible for managing operations and financial results and developing a strategic direction for the company which included acquisitions.
Booth holds a master of business administration degree, with a concentration in international business and finance, from Cleveland State University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree of business administration, with a finance emphasis from the same institution.
