GAITHERSBURG, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GenVec, Inc. (Nasdaq:GNVC) announced today that Kevin M. Rooney has been appointed to fill a newly-created vacancy on the company's board of directors. With the addition of Mr. Rooney, whose term runs until the next Annual Meeting of Stockholders, the total number of GenVec directors is now seven. Mr. Rooney will also serve on the board’s audit committee.
