Regensburg, May 29, 2008 - GENEART AG, the global leader in gene synthesis and specialist in the field of Synthetic Biology, continued its growth trend in the first quarter of 2008. Sales increased by 61 % to EUR 3.9M during the first three months (Q1 2007: EUR 2.4M). EBIT for the same period came to EUR 0.5M (Q1 2007: EUR 0.4M). With the final figures for the first quarter of 2008, GENEART AG has confirmed the preliminary results released in April. The first quarter of 2008 marked the first time the GENEART Group prepared its interim report according to IFRS.
