Galway Gaeltacht Gets Jobs Boost With 35 Positions at Cambus Teo

A GALWAY Gaeltacht area received a boost today with the announcement of 35 new jobs. The jobs are to be created at Spiddal medical device company Cambus Teo. The move follows the 50pc acquisition of the company by global medical device company Helix Medical. As part of that arrangement, Helix Medical has agreed to provide expansion funding to the Spiddal company for further development. The company is also supported by Udaras na Gaeltachta. The company, which is based at Baile an tSagairt in the Spiddal industrial estate currently employs 50 people. The 35 new jobs will focus on engineering, production and management. They are expected to be filled by the end of 2013.
