Fluidigm Corporation Secures Series E Funding

South San Francisco, CA, June 27, 2006 - Fluidigm Corporation—a developer of life-science systems based on proprietary integrated fluidic circuits (IFCs)—closed on series E funding from AllianceBernstein L.P. The investment reflects AllianceBernstein’s strategy of identifying and funding select technologies that have the potential for profoundly impacting an array of industries. “We view Fluidigm as a very promising company in the proteomics and genomics field,” said Jamie Kiggen, Senior Vice President of AllianceBernstein. “Integrated fluidic circuits may solve the problems of miniaturization and integration for the life sciences and allied fields, much as integrated circuits did for electronics.”
