Executives at Eli Lilly & Co. promised significant layoffs if its $2.1 billion acquisition of Bothell-based Icos Corp. is approved by shareholders. Now, we know just how deep the cuts will go. All 700 employees at Icos -- including 500 to 550 in the Seattle area -- will lose their jobs if the deal is approved at a special shareholders meeting next Tuesday.
