Subject matter experts from ECRI Institute’s health technology assessment and supply price benchmarking services will review today’s most popular antibiotic-laced and standard bone cements, and provide guidance for selecting products based on the best available clinical evidence and pricing data for the appropriate joint replacement procedure. Specifically, the webinar will examine the following:
- Clinical evidence for the role of antibiotic bone cement in preventing deep infection
- Current methods to reduce risk of infection
- Commercially available antibiotic bone cement products and how they compare to standard products
- Market share of antibiotic cements
- Prices paid by hospitals based on ECRI Institute data
The webinar is designed to help value analysis committees with orthopedic and spine product oversight, clinical trauma teams, surgeons, and supply chain professionals make more informed decisions on bone cement products based on cost and clinical evidence.
