Early results of a trial of a new treatment for the Ebola virus show it prolonged the lives of monkeys infected with the virulent disease, researchers said on Friday. Ebola hemorrhagic fever is fatal in 50-90 percent of cases. There is no treatment for the highly infectious virus that is transmitted through body fluids.
