Award-winning Neurology Expert Joins Constant Therapy Creators to Lead Scientific R&D

An award-winning physician-scientist and clinical development specialist, Dr. Lakhan is board-certified in both neurology and pain medicine with clinical training from the Cleveland Clinic and Massachusetts General Hospital. He has served on the faculty of leading institutions including Harvard Medical School and Case Western Reserve University, and as founding neurology department chair at California University of Science and Medicine. In his most recent position, Dr. Lakhan advanced neuroscience drug discovery, development and delivery as medical director at Sage Therapeutics in Cambridge, Mass.

In his new role at The Learning Corp, Dr. Lakhan will lead discovery, preclinical and clinical development and operations, and regulatory affairs. He will oversee research for the company - which is home to one of the world’s largest brain rehabilitation databases - as head of the science team, whose current areas of investigation include stroke, traumatic brain injury and neurological disorders such as aphasia, Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and developmental disorders.

He was bestowed the Harvard Medical School Dean’s Community Service Award for founding the Global Neuroscience Initiative Foundation. He was also conferred the President’s Call to Service Award for Lifetime Achievement by Pres. George W. Bush and The U.S. Congressional Award Gold Medal by Sen. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Harry Reid.
