North-east jobs were bolstered by the news that 15 highly-skilled science jobs will be created when a new biotechnology centre is completed. The government’s Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) is to invest £12 million into the facility which will be based at the Wilton chemicals site in Teesside.
