LAKE FOREST, CA--(Marketwire - August 26, 2009) - CryoPort Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: CYRX) today announced successful testing and implementation of an automated data logger that tracks the internal and external sample temperatures.
The data logger provides another enhancement to the CryoPort Express™ Shipping System that already has a significant advantage with its long holding times over short term dry ice shipments. By providing the temperature data during transport, customers can be assured that their samples will have arrived with constant temperatures during shipment. In addition, the long holding time of the CryoPort Express shipper of 10+ days of frozen integrity give this innovative solution a significant advantage of the standard today of dry ice.
Larry Stambaugh, CEO of CryoPort, stated, “We have been working with a well known biotechnology company on the application of the data logger and they have been extremely pleased with the results of its use. The ease and utility of this addition is a major improvement in the frozen shipping market.”
Bret Bollinger, VP of Operations, stated, “The data logger provides us a unique tool that takes the safety and security of shipments to the next level. Customers will no longer have to rely on potentially inaccurate data from probes placed at several locations in a dry ice box. We believe that the integrity of our shipments are well maintained and can be proven.”
