Corindus Appoints Frank Martin to Serve as Its CEO

BARCELONA, Spain--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Corindus, developer and marketer of proprietary remote control catheterization systems, announced today the appointment of Frank Martin as the new CEO and the enrollment of an additional 11 patients to its clinical trials.

The company completed clinical trials last week with its CorPath(TM) system in Mumbai, India. Dr. Kumar who led the clinical trial at Dr LH Hirnandani Hospital commenting on these 11 cases: “The CorPath(TM) system allowed me to operate remotely from the control room while not being exposed to radiation. I precisely navigated the guidewires and positioned the stents. I am excited to be a part of this trial and look forward to more physicians using CorPath(TM) in their PCI procedures.”

Mr. Martin, who has also served as a Director in Corindus, brings to the company over 30 years of business leadership with both public and private companies. Over the span of his career Mr. Martin has founded and managed startup companies CorMedica, manufacturer of catheter based navigation systems, Advanced Biomedical Instruments and PLC Systems and most recently served as Executive Chairman of Cappella.

Corindus will present its CorPath(TM) system together with Simbionix simulator during the annual PCR conference May 22-25, 2007 in Barcelona, Spain. Corindus invites participants to visit booth G23 at the exhibit hall to gain experience in using the system with the simulator.
