REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Codexis, Inc., a privately held biotechnology company, today announced that Andrea R. Danforth has been named to the new position of Vice President, Human Resources, reporting directly to Alan Shaw, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Danforth will have responsibility for management of the company's global human resources operations.
Ms. Danforth joins Codexis from Synarc, a global leader in medical imaging, biochemical markers and related services, where she served as Vice President, Human Resources. Previously, she served as the senior human resources executive for life science companies including Galileo Pharmaceuticals and Cetus Corporation (acquired by Chiron) as well as financial service organizations including the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco and GATX Capital. She holds a bachelor's degree from Vassar College and an MBA from Golden Gate University, where she also taught a course in international human resource leadership.
