China Will Have Second Biggest R&D Spend Starting in 2011

December 17, 2010 -- Next year, China will boast the world’s second highest R&D investment, edging out Japan. The PRC is expected to spend $153.7 billion in R&D during 2011, an increase of 8.7% from $141.4 billion this year. Japan, meanwhile, will up its R&D investment by a modest $2 billion to $144 billion.
