SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Catheter Connections, a start-up company co-founded by nurses seeking to reduce deadly hospital-acquired bloodstream infections, announced today that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued Notices of Allowance for patent application numbers 12/917,336 and 12/957,263. Upon issuance of these patents, the Company’s patent portfolio will consist of nine U.S. patents which are directed to its DualCap® technology for disinfecting IV connectors - technology that helps protect hospital patients from deadly infections.
