Carestream Health, Inc. Taking Orders for Newest Version of CR-Based Image Acquisition/Mini-PACS Software

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 12 — Carestream Health is taking orders for the newest version of its CARESTREAM Image Suite Software, which offers CR-based image acquisition and an optional mini-PACS module. Image Suite delivers fully featured image acquisition, Web-based patient scheduling, image review and reporting, as well as flexible archiving solutions. This versatile offering is ideal for urgent care centers, imaging clinics and a broad range of physicians and specialists including orthopedists, podiatrists and chiropractors.

The newest version of Image Suite software features a touch-friendly interface along with an enhanced set of tools that streamline workflow and can improve image quality. The new software is scheduled to be available worldwide in October. This new software does not support mammography applications in the United States.

New image capture/review capabilities for Image Suite software include:

• Long-length imaging with automatic or manual stitching

• Sample reference images to provide positioning guidance; and

• Additional specialty measurement tools including Lippman-Cobb angle, goniometry and coxometry. Image Suite software can be packaged with a DIRECTVIEW Classic CR or the DIRECTVIEW Vita family of CR systems.

Image Management Capabilities

The optional mini-PACS module provides comprehensive manipulation of the raw image data in addition to allowing window/level adjustments of a pre-processed image. Carestream’s exceptional DIRECTVIEW EVP Plus image processing software allows users to easily optimize image quality for each exam. The system can provide DICOM storage for MR, CT and Ultrasound exams and reporting software allows users to create, edit and view reports attached to studies. Users can output imaging exams to CD/DVDs, networked drives, DICOM printers and other PACS systems.
