Biologics, Inc. Secures over $11.2 Million in Copay Assistance for Cancer Patients YTD 2013
CARY, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Biologics, an integrated oncology services company, is pleased to announce that its Patient Access Services team was able to secure over $11.2 million in copay assistance for patients to date, with $4.2 million secured in second quarter, 2013.
The average copay amount for Biologics’ Oncology Pharmacy patients totaled $329. Depending on the patient’s insurance plan, copays ranged from $17 to $853 in second quarter per dispense. For those paying cash, patient responsibility averaged $6,544 per dispense.
While helping secure copay and other financial assistance needs, Biologics’ Patient Access Services team performs thorough benefits investigation reviews, manages prior authorizations and helps with clinical trial enrollment when appropriate. Biologics also has a dedicated staff of social workers.
