TALLAHASSEE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Florida Legislature’s Biotechnology Caucus is exploring key areas such as innovation and life sciences, high-tech jobs and economic growth in the state with BioFlorida (Florida’s statewide trade association for the bioscience industry) attending this first meeting of the Caucus. Florida legislators discussed the impact of budget cuts on energy and biomedical research funding, the federal stimulus plan, Florida’s economy, recommendations from the Task Force for the Study of Biotech Competitiveness and other innovation and life science reports to aid in advancing Florida’s biotechnology industry.
