PHOENIXVILLE, PA--(Marketwire - December 20, 2010) - Bilcare Global Clinical Supplies (Bilcare GCS), a leading single-source provider of clinical trial supplies and services, is pleased to announce the launch of SAP R3 in its US and UK facilities; our India facility was the first to launch SAP R3 earlier this year. This significant event brings closure to a fruitful and enlightening journey between Bilcare, IBM and SAP to launch a global 21 CFR Part 11 compliant and fully validated electronic inventory system.
“With the global launch of SAP R3, Bilcare is positioned to seamlessly manage complex global clinical trials by providing the control and the visibility of clinical inventory and clinical shipments throughout the world,” said Bilcare GCS Global President Vincent Santa Maria.
With its longstanding tradition and track record of strong client-centric growth and success, Bilcare GCS is further poised to offer clients a globally harmonized system for managing their clinical supplies.
The SAP launch will serve to enhance the outcome of Bilcare’s global cold chain expansion. This expansion in the US doubled the company’s 2 to 8°C and tripled the company’s -20°C capacity to store and distribute clinical supplies. A similar expansion within the UK has increased the storage capacity on the site by 300% with 15 to 25°C, 2 to 8°C, -20°C and -70°C.
Additionally Bilcare GCS recently expanded its global operations by doubling the UK and Asia Pacific facilities capacity to package, store and distribute clinical supplies in ambient, refrigerated and frozen conditions. “The increase in storage capacity is the latest in a series of global upgrades designed to demonstrate to customers that Bilcare is a company committed to providing the capacity needed to deliver its customers the required space for the growing demand of cold chain management,” said Bilcare GCS Global President Vincent Santa Maria.
