Bayer HealthCare will invest $25 million in a new Versant Ventures fund for biotech and medical device companies.
Bayer and Versant did not say how large the fund ultimately will be or list the fund’s other limited partners.
It isn’t the first time that a Big Pharma player — or Bayer itself — has crossed paths with San Francisco’s Versant.
