LOUISVILLE, Ky., Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Humana Inc. today announced an agreement with the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas to join the ChoiceCare Network, Humana’s national PPO network of doctors, hospitals and other health care providers.
The agreement, effective November 1, 2004, gives members of Humana PPO plans and self-insured customers, and other health plans supported by ChoiceCare Network, in-network access to all inpatient, outpatient and emergency services at University Medical Center, affiliated with the University of Nevada’s School of Medicine. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The agreement strengthens ChoiceCare Network’s standing as one of the largest proprietary provider networks in the United States, currently offering a network of more than 2,900 hospitals and more than 380,000 physicians and ancillary care providers in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
