ARLINGTON, Texas, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Health Resources (THR) ranked No. 10 on the InformationWeek 500, a prestigious listing of the most innovative users of information technology in the United States. The top 10 spot represents a significant jump from last year’s ranking of No. 102, reflecting THR’s commitment and investment in implementing IT solutions to improve patient safety and control costs.
THR ranked second among the nation’s health care organizations in the InformationWeek 500 with only the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center appearing higher in the top 10.
In addition, THR also received special mention as one of the five top performers in using technology for business optimization.

The InformationWeek 500 is the most detailed source of industry-specific IT budget data. The research project gathered in-depth information directly from companies about how they approach and prioritize their IT investments. The research identified and ranked the companies following an extensive online and phone study.
This year’s ranking marks the fourth consecutive time that THR has been named to the InformationWeek 500 list.
