MUNDELEIN, Ill., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Sysmex America, Inc., a world leader in laboratory design, systemization and solutions, announced today that it has entered into a supply agreement with Consorta, Inc., a leading healthcare resource management and group purchasing organization.
Under the terms of the three-year dual source agreement, Consorta- affiliated hospitals throughout the United States can purchase the Sysmex UF- 100 and UF-50 urinalysis automated microscopic analyzers effective March 1. The Sysmex urinalysis analyzers combine the superior technology of fluorescent flow cytometry with fully automated urine sample analysis providing walk away capability and standardization - critical factors in a time of laboratory personnel shortages and an aging population. This has made Sysmex the global leader in automated urinalysis placements with more than 1800 systems sold.
“We look forward to expanding our relationship with Sysmex America, Inc. The automation, accuracy, and value that the UF-Series offers for automated urine microscopy will help Consorta members achieve their goals for increased efficiencies through process redesign,” said Lois Brisben, director of laboratory services for Consorta.
“We are pleased that Sysmex America’s automated urine microscopic analyzers have been added to Consorta’s product portfolio,” said Kazuya Obe, President and CEO of Sysmex America, Inc. “With the efficiency of the fluorescent flow cytometry technology in our UF-100 and UF-50 instruments, Consorta’s member healthcare organizations will be able to address the need for efficiency and standardization,” said Obe.
