Stiris Research Hires New VP Sales and Marketing

London, Ontario, October 3, 2011 – Stiris Research, a Clinical Trial Management organization, has named Robert Soto as its new Vice President Sales and Marketing, effective October 3, 2011.

Mr. Soto will be responsible for enhancing Stiris’ brand through its sales and marketing efforts. He will also work with the other members of the Senior Management team in developing strategic plans for Stiris’ growth. “We are very excited to have Robert as an addition to our team. His depth and breadth of experience in the clinical trials industry will help Stiris continue to provide unparalleled service to our clients, while also contributing to Stiris’ strategic goals,” noted Shantal Feltham, Stiris’ President. “Robert’s energy, drive and focus are a welcome addition to our organization.”

Mr. Soto has held past senior marketing positions with firms specializing in pharmacoeconomics, disease management programs, and electronic medical records. He was involved in product design and brand management programs which received more than a dozen peer-reviewed awards for excellence. From an operational perspective, Mr. Soto brings eleven years of managing strategic outsourcing, as well as five years as project manager utilizing stage-gate and lean sigma methodologies. For the past seven years, Robert has been responsible for sales of clinical research services across all phases of development to the small and mid-size biopharmaceutical market.
