Guglielmi as its first director of corporate communications. The new corporate communications department will encompass a broad base of communications and strategies for both inside and outside the company. The department will be aligned into three functional areas including: media relations, government affairs and internal communications.
Guglielmi will lead Somnia's efforts to raise awareness on the company's three areas of focus: ambulatory anesthesiology, drug detoxification, and pain medicine. Guglielmi, a native of Wethersfield, Connecticut, brings a wealth of experience in the fields of media relations and public affairs. Guglielmi most recently served as Regional Executive for Legislative Communications for the American Cancer Society and Communications Advisor for the Connecticut Board of Parole under the administration of former Governor John Rowland. He currently serves as vice president of the Southern Connecticut Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and is completing a master's degree in public administration at New York University.
