MAITLAND, Fla., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Scient'x USA announced today that Timothy J. Seese will join the company as Chief Operating Officer, beginning the first week of September. The appointment of Mr. Seese bolsters the company's executive management team, bringing additional orthopaedic expertise to the already well-pedigreed group.
Mr. Seese was most recently President and CEO of Ascension Orthopedics, a venture backed small joint replacement company. While at Ascension, Mr. Seese led successful product launches, secured financing and helped the company boost sales above plan, with expenses under budget. Prior to his time with Ascension, Mr. Seese spent 11 years as President/COO of Exactech, where he was instrumental in building manufacturing, sales and quality systems, establishing a number of key strategic alliances and expanding the business in important international markets. During his tenure at Exactech, the company experienced compound annual sales growth of 34 percent, with net income growing annually at 33 percent.

Mr. Seese received a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University Graduate School of Business.
