“Xenex’s unique and patented pulsed xenon disinfection system is being embraced by hospitals around the U.S. because it’s been proven to eliminate the deadly microorganisms which cause infections in just a matter of minutes. Our customers are reporting fewer infections after using our device and as a result, the opportunity for us to save patient lives is huge,” said Morris Miller. “I look forward to working alongside Roy to accomplish our mission to reduce the number of healthcare associated infections that destroy the lives of millions of patients and their families.”
Xenex offers the fastest, safest, and most cost-effective method for the automated disinfection of healthcare facilities, such as patient rooms, ORs, and ICUs. Xenex’s portable room disinfection system uses pulsed xenon ultraviolet light to destroy viruses, bacteria, and bacterial spores in the patient environment without contact or chemicals. Uniquely designed for ease of use and portability, a hospital’s environmental services staff can operate the Xenex device without disrupting hospital operations or requiring the use of expensive chemicals. The Xenex system will disinfect dozens of rooms per day, so hospitals can use the system continuously to reduce contamination levels throughout their facilities.
Morris Miller, who previously served as Xenex’s Executive Chairman, is the founder of Sequel and Cutstone Ventures, where he invests in and acts as an advisor to numerous startup and established technology companies such as Inventables, OptimizedNow and Golfballs.com. Previously, Miller was co-founder and president/CEO of Rackspace Hosting, which now has more than 160,000 customers and over $780 million in annual revenue.
