HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, Nov. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- QRA Corp welcomes David Lizius to the Board of Directors as an independent member. David is an accomplished high-tech industry veteran with experience leading both business and technical design teams across the space, defence, and biotechnology sectors. David’s career began at Marconi Space Systems (now part of Airbus) and later AEA Technology plc leading design teams to develop complex space systems including electric propulsion, electromagnetic design software, and the first lithium ion battery to power an orbiting spacecraft. David has recently led COM DEV Canada as President and delivered headline programs including an instrument for the James Webb Space Telescope and the optical payload for the Sapphire Space Situational Awareness Mission.

“David has demonstrated the rare ability to combine technological engineering skills with strategic business sense throughout his career,” said Jordan Kyriakidis, QRA co-founder and CEO. “QRA has committed itself to build solutions to the design efficiency problem as a result of the increasing system complexity demands since day 1, and David’s first-hand experience with the problem and the high-tech industry itself is a valuable addition to our team at QRA.”
“Throughout my career, major systems have become ever more complex and yet the timescales available for development continue to shrink. The consequence of this relentless pressure is an escalation of risk that a major design flaw discovered late will delay the product launch or cause a major recall after deployment. QRA’s technology meets the challenge: it traps errors and provides a rigorous confirmation of design integrity at the earliest stage, allowing developers to proceed with justified confidence. I’m excited to be joining QRA as their revolutionary technology starts to provide decisive advantage to early adopters.”
David has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of London and a BSc in Physics from University of Bristol.
