NEW YORK, Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Lawrence Sherman has joined The Physicians Academy for Clinical and Management Excellence as Chief Executive Officer. With over a decade in medical education, Sherman joins Physicians Academy from his prior post as president of Jobson Education, a division of Jobson Medical Intelligence, LLC. As Physicians Academy CEO, Sherman will lead the organization in developing and implementing strategic medical education activities worldwide.
Headquartered in New York City, Physicians Academy is a unique full- service provider of medical education solutions. It offers specialty-specific regional meetings, as well as freestanding strategic continuing medical education initiatives based on comprehensive needs assessments and evaluated using a variety of outcomes measures.
Physicians Academy is now aggressively developing multi-supported meetings in key locations. Primary focus is on clinical management and patient outcomes, with additional focus on business and management skills, in such medical specialties as cardiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, women’s health and oncology, as well as primary care.
Sherman will utilize his experience in strategic assessment, measurement of educational impact and outcomes, and mixing educational methodologies and media to ensure appropriate delivery of Physicians Academy educational activities. He will also help forge and strengthen partnerships with organizations and associations requiring Continuing Medical Education (CME) or Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certification.
