PeriGen Webinar on Labor Progress Answers the Question: How Slow is Too Slow?

WHAT:
Obstetrics (OB) physician expert Emily Hamilton, M.D., PeriGen’s senior vice president of clinical research, and Shelly Lanagan, RNC-OB, C-EFM, MS, WHNP, Summit Healthcare’s perinatal clinical care specialist, will co-present a free webinar titled “Labor Progress: How Slow Is Too Slow?” Chief nursing officers, OB physicians and nurses, labor and delivery (L&D) managers, educators, staff nurses, patient safety advocates, risk managers and other L&D care stakeholders are invited to register. The webinar will explore recent research and data on long labor progression and will present actual labor dystocia cases submitted by attendees.

The webcast is part of PeriGen’s inaugural “Excellence in Perinatal Care Webinar Series” created to explore methods to optimize L&D care excellence for mothers and infants.

Long labor underlies many obstetrical complications. Determining how long is “too long” before intervention is needed is a clinical challenge.
